Alec Fellman is a sound artist, audio engineer, and composer based in Brooklyn, New York.

Since 2010, he has worked for Ryuichi Sakamoto's management team, KAB America Inc., as an office manager, assistant engineer, and production manager, working closely with Sakamoto across albums, film scores, installations, and live performances.

Under the name insomniac hotel, Alec creates music from modular synthesizers, field recordings, and various instruments and objects. These sonic landscapes become spaces unto themselves to think, feel, and listen.

With Maria Takeuchi (EMU), he is one half of MA, a collaborative sound project exploring the concept of 間 through improvised performance with non-traditional instruments and objects.
